      <title>Call to Artists: Create a Lasting Legacy for McMinnville’s 150th</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The McMinnville Downtown Association Committee for Public Art is seeking&lt;img src="https://www.aaycor.org/resources/Pictures/Sculpture%20location_time%20capsule.png" alt="" title="" border="0" width="267" height="245" align="right" style="margin: 10px;"&gt; an artist or artist team to create a permanent outdoor sculpture celebrating the&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;150th birthday of the City of McMinnville&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;The selected sculpture will be installed at the corner of Second and Cowls Streets in downtown McMinnville on a concrete base that will also hold a time capsule to be opened in 50 years.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Commission:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Up to $10,000&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Who Can Apply:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Established and emerging artists, including artist teams&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Submissions:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Artists may submit an existing completed sculpture or a concept for a new work&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Application Deadline:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;September 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;img src="https://www.aaycor.org/resources/Pictures/Sculpture%20location_time%20capsule%202.jpg" alt="" title="" border="0" align="left" style="margin: 10px;"&gt;The committee is looking for an approachable, highly visible work of art that adds visual interest and culture to downtown McMinnville. Original or limited edition sculptures using materials appropriate for permanent outdoor display will be considered.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Calling all Local Artists/Writers! Poetry for Movement</title>

&lt;p&gt;Cascade Movement Center is &lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#7A0026"&gt;seeking local artists and writers to submit seasonal, nature-themed, mental health, or movement related poems for feature at our studio.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Featured Poet Prize 1 FREE MONTH of classes at Cascade Movement Center (valued at over $150)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We invite writers from Arts Alliance of Yamhill County (AAYC) and other creatives to submit original poems to our studio. Along with a one month unlimited pass, the selected poet-of-the-moth will be featured in our Monthly Newsletter, &amp;nbsp;and social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, Skool “Cascade Movers”).&lt;/p&gt;
