Call to Artists: Create a Lasting Legacy for McMinnville’s 150th

The McMinnville Downtown Association Committee for Public Art is seeking an artist or artist team to create a permanent outdoor sculpture celebrating the 150th birthday of the City of McMinnville.

The selected sculpture will be installed at the corner of Second and Cowls Streets in downtown McMinnville on a concrete base that will also hold a time capsule to be opened in 50 years.

Commission: Up to $10,000

Who Can Apply: Established and emerging artists, including artist teams

Submissions: Artists may submit an existing completed sculpture or a concept for a new work

Application Deadline: September 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM

The committee is looking for an approachable, highly visible work of art that adds visual interest and culture to downtown McMinnville. Original or limited edition sculptures using materials appropriate for permanent outdoor display will be considered.

The committee helps select, fundraise, and install works of art around the community. We are looking for public art enthusiasts. Experience with acquisition, installation, and engineering is a plus!

Attention Oregon Fiber Artists!

The Annual 2025 Fiber Art Show is just around the corner. Get out your needle and thread, your weaving loom, your knitting needles, sewing machine, crochet hook, or whatever tools you use to create fiber art and MAKE IT HAPPEN!

This juried show is open to all Oregon Artists so SAVE THESE DATES!

Online and In-Person Applications Available after July 20, 2025
Online Submissions due by August 15
In-Person Submissions due by August 20

Show Dates: August 26, 2025 – October 6, 2025

Opening Reception: Saturday, August 30, 12pm – 4pm Gallery Hours: Tuesday—Saturday, 11am-4pm, Sunday, 11am-3pm

Artists who create high quality fiber art are invited to submit up to three pieces for this juried show.
There will be a non-refundable $10 jury fee for each individual item, or a three-item jury fee of $25

Cascade Movement Center is seeking local artists and writers to submit seasonal, nature-themed, mental health, or movement related poems for feature at our studio.

Featured Poet Prize 1 FREE MONTH of classes at Cascade Movement Center (valued at over $150)

We invite writers from Arts Alliance of Yamhill County (AAYC) and other creatives to submit original poems to our studio. Along with a one month unlimited pass, the selected poet-of-the-moth will be featured in our Monthly Newsletter, and social media pages (Instagram, Facebook, Skool “Cascade Movers”).

Please spread the word and encourage local artists to submit their work!

All submissions will be taken until the 28th of the month. Submission Information

Call for Artists: Recology + AAYC Artist in Residence Program

The Arts Alliance of Yamhill County in partnership with Recology Western Oregon invites artists to apply for the 2026 Artist in Residence program.

This unique opportunity supports artists interested in working with reclaimed and discarded materials. Selected artists will have access to the Recology facility to source materials and develop work that explores sustainability, reuse, and creative innovation.

Residency Overview

Residency period: June through September 2026
Location: Recology Western Oregon Transfer Station, McMinnville
Culminating public exhibition: October 2026
Opportunity to showcase and sell completed work

What Selected Artists Receive

Access to reclaimed materials from the facility
Dedicated time and space to create new work
Public exhibition and community visibility
Promotion through AAYC channels
One year membership with AAYC
Artist Spotlight feature on the AAYC website

Who Should Apply

Artists working in any medium who are open to using repurposed materials
